Divergence of bacterial communities in the lower airways of CF patients in early childhood

A new clinical study of 191 subjects found that there were key differences in airway microbiota and inflammation in lower airway samples from people with cystic fibrosis and disease controls across all ages. This may provide valuable insight and opportunity for potential therapeutic targets.
